Those who attended the Sunday May 22 program that the Lincoln Group staged on the historic steps of the Lincoln Memorial to mark the monument's 100th birthday couldn't miss the C-SPAN crew that was there to record the proceedings.
While we were disappointed that the two-hour program wasn't carried live, we were all wondering when the event would appear on the air. C-SPAN answered that question last evening by announcing that the initial showing will take place starting at 3 p.m. on Saturday, June 18 on C-SPAN2.
The C-SPAN networks are carried on cable TV systems reaching more than 100 million homes. If you don't get cable, the program will be available directly from the C-SPAN archives after its initial airing, like other C-SPAN programming.
The May 22 event was co-sponsored by the National Park Service and the Lincoln Forum.
