The Lincoln Group of DC will be on C-SPAN starting on November 19th! They recorded our latest dinner program held on September 13, 2022, at Maggiano's Little Italy in Chevy Chase.
C-SPAN has covered our programming in the past, but this is the first Lincoln Group event they've covered since the onset of COVID in early 2020. As we've returned to in-person meeting, C-SPAN is once again joining us when their schedule allows.
By chance, the first event covered was the Lincoln Group hosting of my formal book launch for Lincoln: The Fire of Genius. In addition to a wonderful and expansive family-style dinner provided by Maggiano's and their great staff, the grand production included Dan Kreske in person and Bernie Dennis remote handling the complicated in-house and virtual audio-visual, John O'Brien coordinating the Zoom connections from Denver, and Susan Dennis handling the registration desk. Ru Sun joined us to coordinate the book purchases while I signed copies of both The Fire of Genius and my earlier Lincoln book, The Man Who Saved America.
Added to all this activity was the C-SPAN staff, with three professional technicians and producers setting up and recording the program for posterity.
If you missed the Lincoln Group program on September 13th, you can watch the premiere of the final production as part of their continuing series, The Presidency, starting on Saturday, November 19th at 9:30 am.

We're looking forward to having C-SPAN continue to cover our events, including our upcoming December 13th luncheon at Maggiano's featuring Michael Fowler, author of Calling the Fleeting Breath: Glimpses of Abraham Lincoln's Personage Through Art and Material Culture. This is an in-person event. It's also a luncheon, so check the date and times and RSVP now!
