The Lincoln Group of DC is co-sponsoring the annual Abraham Lincoln Institute (ALI) Symposium at Ford's Theatre in Washington, DC on March 21, 2026. And now you can order your free tickets.

We highly recommend you reserve your free tickets now as this year we have a special format and many special guests, including David Rubenstein, some Pulitzer Prize and Lincoln Prize winners, and many others. We have a special theme that brings Lincoln and the Declaration all together for the 250th anniversary of the nation's founding: "Abraham Lincoln, the Declaration of Independence, and the State of Civic Life Today."

I gave a breakdown of the four panels in a previous post, so go there first for a preview: https://www.lincolnian.org/post/ali-symposium-at-ford-s-theatre-goes-big-time-save-the-date

But there is even more news!

ALI has now added a performance by fiddle and guitar duo Jay Ungar and Molly Mason! In the afternoon program, they will regale us with a few songs from their repertoire and close us out with "Ashokan Farewell," made famous by its inclusion in Ken Burns' award-winning Civil War documentary.

This annual event will look a lot different this year and is sure to be a crowd pleaser with a stellar collection of participants (see the previous post) and beautiful music.

Register and get your free tickets on the Ford's Theatre website now. And see you on March 21st!

While you're on the Ford's site, check out their performance schedule for 1776, the musical about our founding.
