The flow of new books about Abraham Lincoln just keeps gushing, and the Lincoln Group tries to keep track of them.
Lincoln is the most-written about figure in U.S. history, with the total number of non-fiction and fiction books about him approaching 20,000. No one knows how many there have been for sure.
The books cover all aspects of the 16th president's life. In 2020 and 2021 the topics include works on Lincoln's mentors, his views on citizenship, his personal thoughts, his views on citizenship and his Jewish Civil War spy.
The new works coming out this year one from Lincoln Group of D.C. member Edward Steers Jr., "Getting Right with Lincoln: Correcting Misconceptions about A Tower of Lincoln Books at the Our Greatest President."
the Ford's Theatre education center.
To help list the new Lincoln books for would-be readers, the Lincoln Group of D.C. keeps a list, updated every few months.
To access it, go to the menu bar at the top of the lincolnian.org home page and click on "Study Forum" followed by the "Books about Lincoln" drop down.
