Class Session 2, Lincoln the Politician

Lincoln Group president, historian, and author David Kent will trace critical events in Abraham Lincoln's political career.  From his first losing election campaign for the Illinois legislature and into his presidential terms, Lincoln demonstrated enormous capacity to learn and change.  Kent will explore the strategies and traits that enabled Lincoln to lead our nation through unprecedented trauma to a new birth of freedom. This is the second of four classes held each Thursday in January.  Since we will be recording, questions and discussion will occur at the end of the presentation.
